You receive the colour samples as a complete DIN A4 page with an adhesive strip containing information about the paper used, colour and measurement standard. Additionally, each sample is manually spectrally measured and provided with a measurement report containing spectral CGATS data and a LAB comparison and deviation of the achieved colour from the ideal colour in Delta-E 2000.

A colour sample in DIN A4 size is included with every order. Of course, you can order additional pages with the same order at any time. You then have the choice between A4 pages and A4 pages with perforation lines. Additional pages are not separately measured and are not provided with a media wedge.

New: CIELab HLC Colour Atlas XL – freieFarbe

The new freieFarbe HLC Colour Atlas XL with 13,283 colour fields across 74 pages in DIN A4 oversized format uses the CIELAB colour model and the intuitive HLC display system to describe colours digitally and device-independently. The colour atlas is designed for professional users from design through to production, including involved suppliers. Due to its open digital Creative Commons concept, the colour atlas is particularly suitable for cross-sector colour communication with the highest quality standards.
Compared to the classic CIELAB HLC colour atlas, the colour field graduation has been refined in the XL atlas. The colour charts show the division of a base hue H (value range 0 ... 360) according to lightness L (0 ... 100) and chroma C (0 ... 110 for printing colour spaces). The step size of the gradations in the XL version is 5 units. Further charts show the grey series (C = 0) and the low saturation colours (C = 5). We decided on a maximum tolerance of ∆E₀₀ = 1 for the gamut selection; in the printed version, the ideal Lab values can be reproduced in approximately 90% of the colours in the HLC Atlas XL with an average ∆E₀₀ of 0.5.
