SpectraProof is a unique softproofing system for multi-channel PDFs. Its simplicity is only surpassed by its accuracy. The more information you have about your colours, the more precise the on-screen reproduction. A single lab measurement, a single spectrum or spectral ramps printed on the substrate over black feed the built-in spectral prediction model to achieve ever-higher precision. In addition, there are automated functions to simulate printed substrates, primers, varnishes and hot foil stamping in a photorealistic but colour-correct manner.

The SpectraProof Softproof Benefits in Detail:

In the printing industry, it is standard practice to create a proof, i.e. a "hardcopy proof" on paper before printing. At Proof GmbH, we use the most modern inkjet printers and special software for this. The final printing result when printing on paper is simulated. 

Finishing processes such as hot foil stamping, laminates, varnishes and primers cannot be represented in such a hardcopy contract proof. Some printed substrates such as textured paper or papers with inclusions can also only be represented very poorly. 

A solution that works at the push of a button and allows simulation on screen – in real time – is therefore a welcome addition. The advantages:
Colour changes, printed substrates, printing processes and new designs can be tested immediately and without material expenditure and loss of time.

With the SpectraProof from Lacunasolution, printed substrates can be simulated via a photorealistic representation. This represents a significant addition to the classic proof.

To use the SpectraProof softproofing software, all you need is a colour-accurate monitor and a measuring device. Optionally, a standard light hood and a spectrophotometer can be used and enable continuous quality control and ensure the same viewing conditions at different locations.

SpectraProof as a softproofing solution impresses with simplicity, flexibility and modularity. The softproof system is a unified entity and offers "close loop" control mechanisms through simple measurement and regulation. With Spectraproof, any printing process and finishing method can be represented simply and quickly in a photorealistic manner and with high precision in terms of colour accuracy. 

A spectrophotometer can be used to measure colours or substrates, to calibrate the monitor and to check all colours rendered in a job. Missing colours can be replaced with colours from the built-in spectral libraries or quickly remeasured. Basic annotation tools and the ability to exchange complete jobs with colleagues and partners facilitate collaboration.

In the maximum configuration, the SpectraProof® system is the perfect combination of  "led standard light monitor hood", hardware-calibratable monitor and spectral softproofing software. Everything together enables easy remote collaboration and colour communication at the highest level.
