Roll-Up 5
Combination joy meets intelligent designWith the innovative Roll-Up 5, you have the opportunity to present your motif on a large scale. The system impresses with virtually borderless motif presentation. This is achieved by the almost flush graphic exit from the housing and the special top profile that disappears invisibly behind the graphic. The clever part: thanks to the trapezoidal housing and the ability to connect the top profiles, you can place multiple Roll-Up 5 displays side by side. The result is an almost seamless, slightly curved graphic wall.
Another advantage: The removable housing cover allows convenient motif changes.

Our Roll-Ups are printed in proof quality with EPSON Ultrachrome HDX inks on the printing system with the most precise colour reproduction on the entire printer market. In addition to cyan, magenta, yellow and black, the printing system features orange, green and violet – three additional colours that enable an enormous colour gamut for Pantone or HKS colours on the Roll-Up. Your print data is ripped on the most modern Fiery XF systems and processed including spot colours, overprints, trapping, etc. Our colour management system processes CMYK, RGB, greyscale and LAB colour spaces exactly as in a proof and passes the data to our printers in the highest print quality. The colour representation on the Roll-Up corresponds exactly to your ordered colour space. You can place our Roll-Up in ISOCoatedV2 with two PANTONE spot colours directly next to your 6-colour printed image brochure and will have a precise match of the colour. This makes our Roll-Ups perfect for demanding motifs and photographs or for the representation of spot colours.
Our Roll-Up print is approximately 30 centimetres longer than the pure Roll-Up motif. Below the motif there is a 10 cm high white area, below which you will normally find the job ticket rolled up invisibly in the cassette with important information about the print and print data, RIP, printer, rendering intent and the print profiles used. In addition, the UGRA-Fogra colour bar CMYK 3.0 is printed on. After printing, the colour bar is measured and the test certificate to confirm proof quality is printed below the job ticket.
You can only see these additional details if you pull the Roll-Up a little further than necessary out of the cassette. When you set up the Roll-Up normally, this information is not visible.
Our Roll-Up print is optimally designed for indoor use. Moisture and a few water droplets cannot harm it, as the pigment colours can also be used for short-term outdoor use. However, the print is not laminated, and our mechanics are also not suitable for outdoor use in wind and weather.

We use a satin-white microporous-coated PET film made of polyester with an opaque grey anti-static backing for the colour-binding Roll-Ups.
The Roll-Up film is suitable for extremely high-resolution print images. The good rigidity and strength of the insensitive film offers excellent flatness even under various climatic conditions and is therefore very easy to use. It is dimensionally stable, tear-resistant and opaque.
The satin-white coating provides excellent colour reproduction and enables previously unknown photographic qualities in combination with our Ultrachrome HDX pigment inks from Epson. The high-quality satin surface minimises disruptive reflections.

Data format
We do not require bleed. However, we recommend creating your print data with a height of 2195 mm and planning for up to 15 mm at the top edge and up to 30 mm at the bottom edge to not be visible.
Most customers send us PDF data. We accept PDF, EPS, TIF and JPEG files for proofing.
Black and white, CMYK or files with Pantone and HKS spot colours. PDF files in PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3 or PDF/X-4 format are optimal for proofing.
PDF/X-1a (widespread outside Europe) and PDF/X-3 are traditionally the PDF files optimised for printing. These ISO standards ensure, for example, that fonts and images are embedded. They are recognised and desired by most printers as standard for the exchange of print data.
PDF/X-4 is the new printing standard for PDF files. Unlike PDF/X-3, PDF/X-4 files can contain transparencies. PDF/X-3 was also a medium-neutral standard, but 99% of all X-3 files contain only CMYK colours and spot colours. PDF/X-4 is still rarely requested but increasingly desired by printers because with X-4 data the separation can be placed as late as possible in the process chain. The standard offers many advantages, but also risks.
Proof GmbH is the only company in Germany certified for proof output of PDF/X-4 data by PDFX-ready and has been a member of PDFX-ready for several years.
For precise information on the advantages and disadvantages of each format, we recommend the PDFX-ready website. You will find all information, guides for PDF creation and Acrobat creation and Acrobat check profiles for PDF/X-4 files here.

All three PDF/X standards can be selected and created during export in all common layout programmes.
After completing your order, you can upload one or more files for each article.
Each file can be up to 2 GB in size.
An example: You order 10 in DIN A3 format and 2 in DIN A2 format. After completing your order, you can upload a file with 10 pages in DIN A3 format for the ones in DIN A3 format and two files with one page each for the two in DIN A2 format. If we are to produce multiple copies, please let us know in the article message.

The image shows how the upload area for an A4 proof looks before upload.

Now select your file to be proofed and upload it or drag it into the upload window.
After upload, you can check your proof data again, download it, delete it, or upload other data.
Now complete the order by clicking the "UPLOADS COMPLETE, COMPLETE ORDER" button.
Your order can then no longer be edited by you. We receive the message that we can now begin data checking and proofing.
Even after completing the order, you can view your order at any time, but no longer change it.
If your data is faulty during data checking, we will reopen the order so you can delete the faulty data and upload new data. After that, please complete the order again.
Your uploaded data currently remains on our server for at least 1 year and can be viewed and downloaded for checking during this time.

Current proofing systems can reproduce spot colours such as HKS or Pantone very well. With the Fiery XF 6.5.2 proofing software and the Epson SureColor-P9000V Spectro proof printer, we have evaluated how well the various PANTONE and HKS colours can be reproduced on our Roll-Up film in terms of colour deviation in Delta-E00.
The colour deviations were calculated by the proofing software based on the measured colour space of the proof.de proofing system. Deviations are therefore possible in practice. However, it shows that almost all spot colours can be simulated quite well in the large colour gamut of the proofing device.
The smaller the ∆E00 value, the smaller the colour distance from the spot colour reference to the printed colour. Higher ∆E values indicate which colours cannot be reproduced as well in printing.
As a rough guideline: from ∆E00 > 1 onwards, a colour difference is visible to the human eye; below that, it can only be measured but not seen.
