During Fespa 2019 in Munich, the European Digital Press Association (EDP) will be celebrating the winners of its 13th EDP AwardsThe EDP (European Digital Press Association) is an organisation that brings together the 21 leading European trade magazines with an editorial focus on digital print processes. With their publications, EDP members reach well over half a million readers in 27 countries (with their printed editions alone).
The annual highlight of the activities is the presentation of the popular EDP Awards, with which the EDP members honour the best products of the year in five main categories.
The EDP Awards are Europe's only technology contest in the industry and an open competition for all products that have been announced and launched on the market in the last 12 months. The awards are organised by a committee of experts (the EDP Technical Committee), which selects the submitted products according to criteria such as innovation, quality, performance and cost. Due to the strict criteria that the Technical Committee sets for the products, there are no votes on the Internet or other public votes. It is all about technical criteria, not popularity.
This is the only way the EDP Association can guarantee that the best products are selected and that manufacturers' achievements in the development of new technologies are recognised. The EDP Awards logo therefore stands for innovation and quality, offers guidance and provides a neutral recommendation for users' purchasing decisions.
