EAN / GTIN barcode check and report e.g. for the ALDI 3B conformity

ISO/IEC 15416 is a standard of test specifications for bar code printing quality. It describes the 7 criteria that are checked and graded when checking barcode quality. The test is carried out using a special measuring device that reads the EAN bar code extremely precisely with an aperture that is adapted to the bar code and in a defined spectral range and evaluates and grades it for all these seven criteria. From this, a test report is generated which shows the quality of the barcode and the possible causes of errors. These inspection reports can be used for internal quality inspection and documentation, or to identify printing problems or reading problems with barcodes and support troubleshooting. 
Typical error sources are defects in the print image, bar width increases due to inkjet printers or barcodes applied in 4C black with poor register accuracy, low resolution of inkjet printers or thermal printers or poor contrast of the GTIN codes on a coloured substrate or low-contrast display of the barcode.
