SpectraProof is a unique soft proofing system for multi-channel PDFs. Its simplicity is only surpassed by its accuracy. The more information you have about your colors, the more accurate the on-screen reproduction. A single Lab measurement, a single spectrum, or spectral ramps printed on the substrate over black feed the built-in spectral prediction model to achieve ever-increasing precision. There are also automated functions to simulate substrates, primers, varnishes and hot foil stamping in a photorealistic but color-correct manner.

In the printing industry, it is standard to create a proof, i.e. "hardcopy proof" on paper before printing. At Proof GmbH, we use state-of-the-art inkjet printers and special software for this purpose. This simulates the final print result when printing on paper.
Finishing processes such as hot foil stamping, foiling, varnishing and priming cannot be represented in such a hardcopy contract proof. Some substrates, such as textured paper or paper with inclusions, can also only be represented very poorly.
A solution that works at the push of a button and allows on-screen simulation - in real time - is therefore a welcome addition. The advantages:

All that is needed to use the SpectraProof softproofing software is a color-compliant monitor and a measuring device. Optionally, a standard light hood and a spectrophotometer are used, enabling end-to-end quality control and ensuring the same viewing conditions at different locations.

A spectrophotometer can be used to measure colors or substrates, calibrate the monitor, and verify all colors rendered in a job. Missing colors can be replaced with colors from the built-in spectral libraries or quickly re-measured. Basic annotation tools and the ability to share complete jobs with colleagues and partners facilitate collaboration.
In its maximum configuration, the SpectraProof® system is the perfect combination of "led-normlicht monitor hood", hardware calibratable monitor and the spectral soft proofing software. All together it enables easy remote collaboration and color communication at the highest level.
