Our Roll-Up Prints are printed in proof quality with EPSON Ultrachrome HDX inks on the printing system with the most accurate color reproduction of the entire print market. In addition to cyan, magenta, yellow and black, the printing system is equipped with orange, green and violet as additional colors, giving it an enormous color range. Most Pantone or HKS colors can therefore be reproduced accurately on the Roll-Up. Your print data is processed on the most modern Fiery XF RIP systems and processed including spot colors, overprinting, trapping etc. Our color management system processes CMYK, RGB, grayscales and LAB color spaces exactly as for a contract proof and passes on the data in the highest print quality. The color representation on the roll-up corresponds exactly to your ordered color space. You can place our roll-up in ISOCoatedV2 with two PANTONE spot colors right next to your 6-color printed image brochure and will have a precise color match. Thus our roll-ups are perfect for demanding motifs and photographs or for the representation of spot colors.
Our Roll-Up print is about 30 centimeters longer than the pure Roll-Up motif. Below the motif is a 10 cm high white area, below which you will find, usually invisible rolled in the cassette, the job ticket with important information about printing and print data, RIP, printer, rendering intent and the printing profiles used. In addition, the UGRA-Fogra media wedge CMYK 3.0 is printed. After printing, the media wedge is measured and a test certificate is printed to confirm the quality of the Roll-Up Print under the job ticket.
You can only see this additional information if you remove the Roll-Up from the cassette slightly further than necessary. If you set up the Roll-Up normally, this information is not visible.
Our Roll-Up printing is optimally designed for indoor use, moisture and a few water drops can not harm it, since the pigment inks can also be used in short-term outdoor use. The print is not laminated however, and our Roll-Up hardware is also not suitable for outdoor use in wind and weather.

We use a satin-white microporous-coated PET paper made of polyester with opaque, gray antistatic backing for the color fidelity Roll-Ups.
The Roll-Up paper is suitable for extremely high-resolution printing images. Due to its good stiffness and strength, the non-sensitive paper offers an excellent plan position under various climatic conditions and is therefore very easy to use. It is dimensionally stable, tear-resistant and opaque.
The satin-white coating provides a very good color presentation and enables previously unknown photographic qualities in combination with our Ultrachrome HDX pigment inks from Epson. The high-quality satin surface minimizes disturbing reflections.

Most customers send us PDF data. We accept PDF, EPS, TIF and JPEG files for proofing.
Black-and-white, CMYK or even files with PANTONE and HKS or TOYO spotcolors. PDF files in PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3 or PDF/X-4 format are ideal for proofing.PDF/X-1a (widely distributed outside of Europe) and PDF/X-3 are traditionally the PDF files optimized for printing. These ISO standards represent e.g. fonts and images are surely embedded. They are recognized and requested as the standard for data exchange of print data at most printers.
PDF/X-4 is the new printing standard for PDF files. Unlike PDF/X-3, PDF/X-4 files can contain transparencies. PDFX-3 was already a medaneutral standard, but 99% of all X-3 files contain only CMYK colors and spot colors. PDF/X-4 is still rare, but more and more requested by printers, as X-4 data can be separated as late as possible into the process chain. The standard offers many advantages, but also some risks.
Proof GmbH is the only company in Germany to be certified by PDFX-ready for the proof output of PDF / X-4 data and has been a member of PDFX-ready for several years.
If you want to know exactly the pros and cons of the respective formats, we recommend the pages of the Swiss PDFX-ready Initiative. Here you will find competent information, PDF creation guides and Acrobat Creation and Acrobat test profiles for PDF / X-4 files, although the information given in english is not as comprehensive as the germanspeaking webpages. PDFX-ready offers:
PDFX-ready PDF / X creation guide
PDF preflights for Adobe Acrobat
Creator workflows for sheetfed, web offset and newspaper printing
In all standard layout programs, all three PDF/X standards can be selected and created during output.
You can upload one or more files to each article after the order is completed. Each file can be up to 2 GB in size.
For example, you order 10 in the format A3 and 2 in the format DIN A2. After the order has been completed, you can upload a file with 10 pages in DIN A3 format to DIN A3 format and two files in A2 format with one page each. If we are to make several copies of one proof, please let us know about during the order process in the "commentary" field.
The figure shows how your order of a DIN A4 proof looks before the upload.
You now select and upload your file to be projected.
After the upload, you can check your proof data again, delete files and reupload or upload others.
When finished uploading, complete the order by clicking the button "COMPLETE YOUR ORDER".
Your order will no longer be editable for you. We get the message that we can now start with the data check and the proofing.
You can view your order at any time, but after completion you cannot change it any longer.
If your proofing data shows faults during the data check, we will reopen the order again, so that you can delete the faulty data and upload correct files. Then complete the order again.
Your uploaded files for proofing currently remain on our server for at least 1 year, and can be viewed and downloaded during this time.

Matthias Betz and the Proof.de team
Current proofing systems can reproduce spot colors such as HKS or Pantone very well. With the Fiery XF 7.0.1 proofing software and the Epson SureColor-P9000V Spectro proof printer, we have evaluated the color deviation in Delta-E00 with which the various PANTONE and HKS colors can be printed on our roll-up substrate.
The color deviations were calculated by the proofing software on the basis of the measured color space of the proof.de proofing system. Deviations are therefore possible in practice. However, it turns out that almost all spot colors can be simulated quite well in the large color space of the proofing device.
The smaller the ∆E00 value, the smaller the color distance from the spot color reference to the printed color. Higher ∆E values show which colors can be reproduced more poorly in the proof.
As a rough guide: From ∆E00 > 1 a color difference is visible to the human eye, below it it can only be measured, but not seen.
